In 2021, Bloomsbury and Scholastic published Harry Potter: A Magical Year, a gift book celebrating the art of Jim Kay, including 366 illustrations that Kay did for the first four books, including never seen before sketches and more.
The fifth book is even longer than Goblet, so we expect the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Illustrated Edition release date will be no earlier than Fall 2021.
The fourth one, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was published in 2019. The illustrated Harry Potter books were on a yearly cycle until Goblet of Fire, which was published two years after Prisoner of Azkaban. It was a great privilege to have Neil Packer helping with this daunting task. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was published in 2016, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2017. ‘Illustrating Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was always going to be a challenge the scale of the book meant for a huge variety of characters and locations to choose from.
